Free Fire Sensitivity Explained

Sensitivity • 6 min read

Free Fire gives you six sliders. Most players change all six at once and learn nothing. Here is what each one controls, why the order you tune them in matters, and how big a change should actually be.

The six values

Each applies to one aiming state.

  • General: hip-fire turn speed
  • Red Dot: close-range sighted aim
  • 2X Scope: mid-range scoped aim
  • 4X Scope: long-range scoped aim
  • Sniper Scope: sniper micro-adjustment
  • Free Look: camera look while moving

Tuning order

General first so movement feels right, then Red Dot, then scopes from low to high magnification, then Free Look.

Why General comes first

General controls how fast you turn while walking and hip-firing, which is the state you spend the most match time in. If General feels wrong, every other slider gets tuned against a shaky foundation, since you will unconsciously compensate for General's feel while testing Red Dot.

Why Free Look is tuned last, not skipped

Free Look only activates while moving and looking around without firing, so it has the least immediate impact on gunfights, but a mismatched Free Look value makes checking your surroundings feel disconnected from your aiming values. Tune it last so it does not distract from the sliders that decide fights.

How big a real change is

A five-point change on most sliders is noticeable within a session; a fifteen or twenty-point change is large enough that you are effectively starting over. Players chasing a feeling of instant improvement often make changes this large and then cannot tell which of several simultaneous shifts caused the result.

Change size

Five points at a time, one value per session. Anything bigger destroys your ability to attribute the result.

A worked example

Suppose your 4X Scope value is 55 and long-range shots keep overshooting past moving targets. Drop it to 50, play one full ranked session without touching anything else, and only then decide whether to drop it again to 45 or move back up to 52 as a middle point.
