Panel refresh rate and in-game frame rate are different numbers, and sensitivity should be tuned to the one the game reaches.

Find your panel refresh rate

On Android open Settings, then Display, then Smooth Display or Screen Refresh Rate. On iPhone, ProMotion models support 120Hz; all others are 60Hz.

Find your in-game frame rate

Set Free Fire's frame rate option to the highest available, then play a full match. If the game stutters in fights, step down one level — a stable 60fps beats an unstable 90fps.

Apply it to sensitivity

Enter the frame rate your device actually holds in the generator's refresh step. That single choice changes the recommended values noticeably.

Step-by-step check on a real phone

After finding the panel's maximum refresh rate in system settings, open the in-game FPS counter and note the number during ordinary movement and again during a firefight, since the display menu only tells you what the screen is capable of, not what the game engine is actually delivering.

Common mistakes when reading refresh rate

Assuming the game runs at your screen's maximum refresh rate is a frequent error; the visible symptom is aim that feels sluggish compared to what the phone's spec sheet promises, because Free Fire's own frame rate cap, not the display, is usually the limiting factor. Another mistake is testing frame rate once at the menu screen, where load is low, rather than during combat, where it is high.

How refresh rate interacts with sensitivity values

A jump from 60fps to 90fps in the generator typically calls for slightly lower values across most sliders, because the camera updates more often for the same swipe distance; Sniper and 4X Scope are the values most sensitive to this change since their zoom multiplies any timing difference.

When this check will not give a clean answer

On devices that dynamically adjust refresh rate to save battery, the number shown in settings may not hold steady during play; if your device has an adaptive or auto refresh mode, disable it before testing, otherwise you will be tuning against a moving number.
