How To Test And Fine-Tune Your Sensitivity

Testing • 6 min read

Most players change settings constantly and improve slowly. A short, structured routine gets you to a setup you can keep — and keeping a setup is what builds aim.

Test in the order that matters

General first, because it affects every second of every match. Then Red Dot, because most fights are close. Then the scopes you actually use. Free Look last — it takes two minutes.

Testing scopes before General wastes effort: changing General later changes how the scopes feel relative to it.

The five-point rule

Change one value by about five points at a time. Smaller changes are hard to feel; larger ones make it impossible to attribute the result.

After a change, play three to five matches before judging. One match tells you about that match.

Keep a simple record

Write down the date, what you changed and one sentence about how it felt. Three lines is enough.

Without a record you will eventually re-test values you already rejected. The Vorzilo generator's copy function makes it easy to save a known-good set before experimenting.

Example testing log
DateChangeResult
Day 1Baseline from generatorGeneral slightly slow on 180 turns
Day 2General +5Turns fine; red dot now overshoots
Day 4Red Dot -5Close fights steadier — keeping this
Day 74X -5Bursts hold better at range

Test in realistic conditions

Use the same graphics preset, frame-rate cap and grip you play with. Test after the phone has warmed up, not in the first two minutes after a reboot.

If you play mostly ranked in the evening on a warm phone, that is the condition your settings need to survive.

Know when to stop

When a change makes no clear difference in either direction, you are inside the range that fits you. Stop and play. Further tuning at that point is procrastination dressed up as improvement.

Revisit only when something real changes: a new phone, a new refresh rate, a new finger setup or a new main weapon.
